wettbewerbe aktuell has been an important resource for me since my student days. When our work appeared on the cover of wettbewerbe aktuell, like Phaeno in 2000 and 2006, these were sweet moments of reminiscence and confirmation about my student ambitions becoming true.
My current dream about the architecture of the future is the fusion of real and virtual spaces of social interaction, the seamless integration of urban space with cyberspace where many or most urban and architectural surfaces become windows into virtual worlds. The design of these virtual extensions will be our discipline’s domain and for many clients the design of their real and virtual outlets will be designed together, in synergy.
